Unremembered
Acts is a joint venture with local poet Robin Thomas. His poems
inspired me to create a stream of images using rough hewn wood pieces.
The wood was inked with a charcoal/water/gum arabic mixture and then a
sheet of Japanese handmade paper laid on it. Impressions were made on
the paper by gently varying pressure across the sheet. I had little
idea what would result, but a selection of images emerged that
expressed my feelings about his work. Some of the images contained in
the book are shown below.
A first edition of Unremembered Acts has been designed by Kathryn
Chandler and Jake Giltsoff at the University of Reading and produced in
the print room there. Copies are available for purchase by contacting
me at the email at the bottom of the page or at the local Henley and
Caversham Arts Trails held in May.
