Laura Illsley - Snapshots of the Ordinary
I
live and work around Sheffield - I studied history at Sheffield Hallam
and am now a practising social worker in the city. In my spare time
several years ago I developed my interest in capturing images of the
world around me by doing an AS level in photography and then a short
course in documentary photography. I take a photograph when something
catches my eye - like a figure in a shop window, or perhaps just a
leaf - the details of everyday life.
At the moment I mostly sell
my work at local arts and crafts markets. Images are for sale mounted
(sizes are usually 5x7 in or 8x12 in) and cost between £15 and £30 +
